Sustainability In Every Step

Giving bottles another life, reducing waste, conserving water, and powering operations responsibly.

Our Commitment

As a family-owned company, our priority is the health of our Team Members, our communities and our environment. Niagara is committed to responsible resource usage and integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business. We have an obligation to not only drive water stewardship, energy efficiency, renewable energy generation and waste reduction, but also to continuously innovate to reduce our carbon footprint. We firmly believe in continuing to grow and improving in each of these areas to make Niagara the best beverage supplier, community partner and employer that we can be.

Our Sustainability Goals

Our sustainability efforts are guided by a focus on measurable impact and purposeful action. Across our network, we’re advancing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), achieving 31% recycled content in California and 2% in Washington State, and aligning our initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From clean water and renewable energy to responsible production and climate action, Niagara is taking meaningful steps to create lasting positive change for people, communities, and the planet.

Packaging Efficiency

We’re transforming how was water packaged – using less, recycling more, and moving toward a circular economy, without compromising quality or safety. Every innovation is designed to make recycling easier and reduce our impact on the planet.

How To Recycle

Niagara packaging is designed for simple, effective recycling. All of our bottles and caps are 100% recyclable**, and Eco-Air case wraps can be dropped off at participating locations. Doing your part keeps materials in circulation!

Water Stewardship

We care for the watersheds where our plants operate, protecting aquifers, supporting local ecosystems, and helping reduce risks like algae blooms to ensure healthy water resources for tomorrow.

How We Save Water

Water Recovery

At our largest North American plant, we recover 99% of water through advanced VSEP technology—turning what would be wastewater into ultra-pure, reusable water that helps protect local watersheds.

Efficient Plumbing Upgrades

Smart plumbing and low-flow fixtures save over 1 million gallons annually, with greywater reused for irrigation and other non-potable needs across multiple sites.

Optimized Cooling Towers

Our cooling towers are fine-tuned to save over 4.4 million gallons each year, reducing evaporation and keeping more water in the system where it belongs.

Drought-Tolerant Landscaping & Microforests

Native landscaping and microforest projects reduce irrigation needs naturally while restoring local ecosystems and boosting biodiversity across our facilities.

Energy

We’re committed to using energy responsibly across every part of our business—reducing emissions, conserving resources, and powering our operations more efficiently. By embracing renewable energy and smarter technologies, we’re creating measurable impact for our communities, our Team Members, and the planet.

How We Lead In Energy Efficiency

Smart Equipment & Automation

High-efficiency bottling lines, automated forklifts, and automated storage systems keep operations safe, reliable, and energy-conscious.

Lighting & Workspace Optimization

Skylights and LED lighting reduce energy use, lower heat, and create brighter, more comfortable workplaces for our Team Members.

Advanced Molding Technology

Innovative bottle and cap molding uses less energy while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.

Renewable Energy Integration

36,321 solar panels power five plants, while four Texas facilities run on 100% wind energy.
